Join us in south Manchester campaigning for Cllr Bev Craig, who is standing for re-election in Burnage; and for Chris Wills, who is standing in Withington. Chris in particular faces a tough fight in Withington, where the Lib Dems remain a threat, so it’s important we get a really good turnout!
In the morning we’ll be campaigning in Burnage. We’ll meet at 11am outside Mauldeth Road Train Station, on Mauldeth Road (a map is here), and going and speaking to residents about local issues. The 10.43 from Manchester Piccadilly will get you there in plenty of time – alternatively it’s on the 22 bus route from Bolton/Stockport, and near the A34 Kingsway where a number of buses run to and from the centre of Manchester. There is limited on-street parking on Mauldeth Road.
We’ll then break for lunch at 1pm, going to Michael’s Café, 113 Mauldeth Road M14 6SR, before heading back out on the in Withington. If you’re joining us just for this part of the day, we’ll be meeting outside the Co-op at 105 Mauldeth Road (right over the road from Michael’s) at 2pm. Directions as above on the easiest way to get there (there's a 13.41 from Piccadilly) – it’s also about a 10-minute walk from Wilmslow Road where a number of buses go to and from town.
Once we’ve finished door-knocking in Withington, we’ll be going for a drink or two if you want to join us!
Hope to see you there – please RSVP on here if you can make it, or email Chris at email@example.com.
