Harrogate & Knaresborough Labour Party will be at Harrogate Pride in Diversity once again, on Saturday 16 June, having taken part in the inaugural event last year.
The event will not just include those from the LGBT+ community, but those from other abilities, genders, ethnicity, ages, and socio-economic background. It is about celebrating our diverse community together.
Starting at 10.30am there will be a Civic Celebration taking place at the Royal Pump Rooms. Then, at 11.30am an open top bus will set off from the pump rooms to ride around town and go to the parade start point.
The parade will then take off at 12noon from the top of Montpellier Hill (near Bettys Tea Rooms) and will follow into Valley Gardens where there will be a party with stalls and entertainment until 6pm.
Valley Gardens will be divided up into different sections for the event - including a sports zone, spaces for young people to showcase their artwork, and an area for live music from local acts.
Local members and supporters of Harrogate & Knaresborough Labour Party will take part in the parade with their banner and will also have a stall in Valley Gardens. Everyone is invited so please come along and join in!
If you can help out on the stall or by handing out leaflets on the day, please e-mail David Humphries at email@example.com - any help for any amount of time is very much appreciated.
And of course, come and join in the parade, the more the better! Rainbow clothing, signs with inspirational quotes, Labour banners and stickers are all encouraged.
Entry is completely free, however donations to the charity Pride in Diversity on the day are encouraged. All venues and meeting points are just a short walk from both the train and bus stations.
