New Lesbian Fertility Rights

Message in a bottleOn Monday 6th April the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act comes into force, granting lesbians equal access to fertility treatment on the NHS.

Lesbian women can receive IVF or assisted conception treatments without any involvement from the sperm donor. Furthermore, the biological mother and her partner can have both their names on the birth certificate, enshrining in law for the first time the concept of the two-mother family.

Labour: Delivering Equality for LBT women

The different choices:

  • Labour Prime Minister, Gordon Brown MP led 230 Labour MPs to vote for new Lesbian Fertility Rights
  • David Cameron and countless Tory MPs voted against Lesbian equality…again.
