There's no rest for LGBT Labour following the General Election, as we'll be heading to Blackpool for Pride on Saturday 10 June! We'll be joined by local Labour Councillors and activists - hopefully we will also be able to welcome Gordon Marsden as the re-elected Labour MP for Blackpool South!
We'll be assembling for the parade around 10.45am. The parade starts at 11am at The Sandcastle Waterpark (next to South Pier) making its way along the Promenade towards North Pier. The parade will then turn right into Church Street through the town centre, heading towards St. Johns Square in front of the Winter Gardens. This is where the parade will end and the opening ceremony for Blackpool Pride Festival will take place before the events begin inside the Winter Gardens.
We'll have a stall in the Winter Gardens, setting up around 10am, until late afternoon, where we'll be promoting LGBT Labour's work on LGBT equality.
