Alan Strickland is a project officer for a national youth organisation and a trustee of the UK’s largest environmental volunteering charity.

Alan previously worked in the campaign team at Comic Relief and as president of Oxford University Students’ Union. Active in the voluntary sector, Alan has served as founding chair of Young People Change the World Ltd, director of a training organisation and as a consultant for the education charity Changemakers. His work has taken him abroad and involved working with organisations in India, China and Bangladesh.

Alan was educated at state schools in County Durham and Merton College, Oxford. He is a Fellow of the RSA
